Servis Belly Mower for Cub

Postby Redpower » Thu Jun 09, 2005 10:17 pm

I have never seen mention of a Servis belly mower for a cub tractor. I searched this site and found no mention of the Servis brand. (Now Rino). I even did a "google" search and still no luck. The '48 Cub I just restored had a Servis belly mower that I have chosen not to keep. It was running great when I took it off. How much should I ask for this belly mower? You can see it in the before picture at http://webpages.charter.net/gwallace0026/wallaceg.com/Cub.htm. It will be avaliable at this years Red Power Round Up.

George:

Can I prevail upon you in the interests of posterity   to ask you for some really good pics of the Servis Belly Mower that is on your Uncle's Cub?

It is one I have not heard of, have no information on and would be a real interesting addition to the server.

Maybe some under side pics, as well as detailed pics of the pulley assemblies and the overall deck, plus the mounting details if these would be possible?

I know it is a bit to ask, but if you have the time and the inclination, I would be extremely appreciative.

Many thanks

Some nice pictures but i was wondering if the belt was on right, It
doesn't look like the belt touch age the drive pulley by very much.

Belt

Postby Redpower » Fri Jun 10, 2005 9:58 pm

Mac, This is the way I received it. It had been used all summer to mow with and they had no problems that I am aware of. As a matter of fact, the belt has been on that way for several years. Since I can't find any information on this mower, your guess is as good as any.

I thought it might slip in heavy grass that is all . I see that it has a belt
tightner on the other side, must keep it quite tight.
