I have a 1948 cub pre-inherited from my grandfather. It has a model 22 sickle bar mower that goes with it that is still at his house (I have the tractor and single bottom plow). I'm going up his way next weekend and was wondering if there was a way to disassemble it into several manageable pieces and get it loaded in my truck to bring home. I've looked through the manuals, but being scans they weren't the easiest to decipher. Is this something that would be possible or am I fooling myself. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Eric, if you remove the pins where the three main sections fold it will break down to three manageable pieces.

Referring to the page below from Rudi’s manual server, Bill is talking about the clevis pins at 3 and 5. The gag lever is also connected by clevis pins. You may need to remove the nut at 7 to remove the pitman arm. If so, it is a left hand thread.

Excellent. Thank you Lee and Barnyard for the advice. I'll give it a go when I'm up there next weekend. Again,
