Touch Control Missing Screen
I started rebuilding the touch control cylinder block assembly this weekend. The block casting no. is 354383R1. After removing the Relief valve I noticed the screen was missing. Any ideas on the source for a replacement? From the photos in the service and parts manual it looks like the small strainer screen in the Cub carburetor inlet.

Actually, TM no longer carries that screen. You may be at the dealer's mercy.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

That's the one, Boss. I'll call the dealer and ask about it. I looked in the local dealer's parts catalogue and didn't see it listed, but I know they carry some stuff that's not advertised in the catalogue. Thanks,

Re: Touch Control Missing Screen
Bill, It took me a minute to find it in the parts diagram, looks like part # 354269 R1, called a sieve for the relief valve.

Yes, that's the part #. Called IH Dealer and they have it for $3.57. I'll probably spend about $7 in gasoline to pick it up, but I need some Hy-Tran anyway, so problem solved. Thanks everyone.
