Broke Brake Rod

Postby vwfish » Sun Jul 21, 2013 6:39 pm

Ok, I'm a DA and admit it.
The first step in curing a problem is admitting you have one.

So I won't go into the embarrassing details about how I broke the brake rod, but I do need a question answered.
Is there a gasket that goes in between the final drive assembly and the transmission case, or does the pinion seal handle it all?

With the help of a good friends fathers auto shop, we replaced the brakes on both sides.
I hope I don't have to do that again......ever! :)
