Farmall Cub

After soaking tire/rim in solvent of choice, lay on solid surface under immoveable object, place edge of wide side of jack on tire against rim. Use timber or other suitable object between jack and immovable object. Work your way around tire, may take several passes. Two keywords here solid and immoveable. Should not take more than 15 min to break beads. That's how I did the last two rears, and I fudged on the immoveable part

For the rears, a fellow Cub owner with a backhoe (it was yeller not green) works pretty well. Fronts I use a vice.

We use two approaches that always work.

1. For smaller tires we use our press, which acts like the vise.

2. For larger tires like on the Farmall H or the 16.9 x 38's on our JD or Cub Rear Tires we use this type of jack http://www.prc68.com/I/FarmHiLiftJack.shtml We place it under another tractor or some other imovable object.

Never tried it on the steel wheels on the 1929 Regular

I have one like John has. An 8" to 16" Tire Changer. Must have been prescient. Gonna need all the help I can get now. Kinda looking for spoons though. Haven't found any at Princess yet. Looking on Kijiji..

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, I do not have a BFV, press, or suitable immovable overhead object. Tried the immovable object route first, turns out the object was not immovable after all, so I grabbed the clamp and it worked.
