Is it correct that the cultivator for an "A" is the same as the Cub cultivator?? Dusty B

I believe the answer is NO. Some parts interchange, but the min framework is different. Ed

I don't believe anything is interchangeable with a Cub and an "A".

I have both a Cub and an A, and their respective cultivators.
Other than the parts that meet the dirt, nothing else interchanges.

I was quite sure some parts would fit. Boss, do you think it might be the shanks? Ed

Thanks, guys! I didn't really think that there would be much compatibility between the two. Dusty B

Trying not to sound like Cliff on "Cheers:"

The Farmall A cultivators were a very different animal if you're used to Cub 144 or A-144 (Super A, 100, 130, 140) cultivators, (other than the shanks, etc.) IH did make an adaptor kit to use the A-144 cultivators on a straight, not Super A. Looks like they just used the regular rear section from an A, and then some pressure rods running from the hand lift rockshaft that mounts under the gas tank, to the universal mounting frame. You sort of have to use your imagination because it does not show the parts assembled on the tractor.

Please don't confuse a "straight" Farmall A with a Super A. They look the same at a distance but they are very different critters. I have a nice back half of an early A, and nothing much will swap onto any of my Super A projects, and be anywhere near correct. :(
