Found Fenders--95% sure they're Demo Fenders

I bought these 2 fenders today because they have fewer holes
stamped in them than the ones off my 57. When I started removing
the paint, I found white as the last coat of paint.

Are they from a Demonstrater?

Larry,

I don't know of any way to know for sure, but one of the fenders on my demonstrator has more holes than my '57.

Larry,

One more little tidbit... the left fender on the '57 has a triangular reinforcing plate spot welded to the outside front behind the upper hole. Other than the odd hole that could have been added (subtracted? ) any time this is the only difference I know of over the years. Fast hitch may account for other differences I don't know about.

The reinforcing plate is for the Fast-Hitch helper spring bracket. The very late left fenders have holes for the hazard light bracket. I suppose there were other changes, but that is the only other one that comes to mind right now.

I had one of those helper springs a couple of years ago and I remember it took me awhile to find the reinforced fender. I still have the fender on my Cub.
