I have fabricated a couple of 3 point hitches for my cub. The first one utilized the mule drive but I found that the metal was too thin to hold up to the abuse I put it through. The second one was made with 1/4" material. I love my 3 point hitch and use it all the time. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours as well. Makes the little tractor so much more useful!

I'm using 2 1/2" 1/4" thick angle welded up with my ugly welds for the brackets. For the mule drive crossmember, I've got probably 40ft of 1 1/2" square tubing that's 3/16" thick and about as much 3/16" angle. I'm going to wrap the square tubing for the cross member with the angle to double it all up using more ugly welds.

Nah, it's not leaking oil. It's just marking it's territory.

Got the brackets bolted up to the finals for a trail fit. I'm try to decide whether to put the crossmember on top part of the brackets or under it. The lower link pins will definitely be low. If the crossmember is on the upper portion, the "mast" for the top link won't have to be as high which should help keep it from wanting to bend as much.
