Extra parts

I dropped the oil pan to change the gasket and look what I found in the oil pan. I am not sure where in the engine it came from.

Looks like the nut and washer from the hydro pump to me.

Bob, If you haven't ever had that pump off to check or rebuild, you might want to take it off and make sure the lock washer and nut are on the gear.

That's what it is, Bob! I've seen a few of them, dug out of sludge, in the pan. I'm surprised that you didn't call me, when you found it! Ed

Good Idea Tim, that washer is a lot of money form Case IH.

Thanks guys I could not place that washer in my mind. Out comes the pump.

Cecil, I did break it, when I was there, working on the SA. Did it, when I took the switch from that cub. Don't tell Bob! Ed
