a visit from Buzzard Wing and photo's from our show

Postby artc » Sun May 15, 2005 8:16 pm

I had invited Larry Davis (buzzard wing) to visit our spring gas up show last weekend. the weekend started windy and #$&appy, and sunday was at least passable (if you leaned into the wind and had a good coat!!) So much for May weather in Ct.
By these photo's (taken by Larry) i surmise he enjoyed himself.

and some of his Rhode Island group http://www.qvea.org/member%20photos/LarryDavis/RIATC/

they take a moment to load if you are on dial up, but worth browsing.

Enjoyed immensely my unfortunately short visit with larry, and trust we'll be able to get togather again.

Thanks Art. I really did enjoy my visit to your club's 'playground' and with you. So many interesting things in one place, and such an enthusiastic and dedicated crew at QVEA! . I wished I lived a bit closer so I could help out with the sawmill and some of your other interesting projects. You guys really have accomplished a lot on that farm.

It's always a blast to see people playing with their toys.... or should I say, working with their tools.

I just happend to find out about the RIATC event the night before from a local farmer (one of very few around here) that I met at the auction in northern VT the week before. And just to show you how small RI is, I know the guy that did the Mack (really a chevy) and Nash (has a 350 I believe), but he wasn't there. Too bad he moved, cause he is an awesome painter.

Again, thanks for having me over, it was a day well spent.

I would highly recommend a visit to anyone that is in that part of CT, but certainly a visit to the web site is a good second.

That shiny, beautiful Cub is Art's. Very well done! Just a few numbers off from my "new" one.

BW, Great pictures :D Now that's theway to spend a weekend :!:
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.
