Where's Waldo????

Postby ricky racer » Thu Jan 31, 2013 10:03 pm

Okay, here is a well appointed IH Cub with all the bells and whistles. I have a few questions though when I look at it.

First, what is that thing over the hood? Any ideas?

Next, what kind of front grader blade is mounted on it?

Is that a homemade belly mounted grader blade or added weight (ballast)?

Is that hose between the air intake tube and the crankcase breather cap serve a purpose???

Does the arm that appears to attach to the left side rock shaft connect to the front blade?

What else can you find that doesn't belong?

I found this Cub on E-Bay:

Got tight zerks and a hydraulic ball hitch to move boats. Still over priced.

Tim,

I delivered a blade to DSCF, for fellow that was going to use it to push sand. Seems that, in some places sand drifts like snow.

It looks like they are recirculating crankcase vapors or blow-by into the carb.

Boy thats a good question. I guess that if you are the PO, every thing belongs and what doesnt belong will depend on the next owner. Surprised that no one picked up on the seat or that giant roll over protection system.

Or are you looking at what isnt oem?

Well now, that's one crazy looking Cub. That "thing over the hood" appears to be connected to the front axle and since we're guessing, it's either a feeble brush guard, or a height guage, or a really cheesy carrier of some sort, Lord knows. The crankcase breather arrangement must make it a California Cub :)

The front tires and something is going on with the lift rod. It may have been broken and repaired?

The canopy ROPS actually looks like it's factory made for a Cub. The rest......hmm...

It looks like a prototype KubKraft bug deflector, but it seems to be missing a few parts.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

As to the color. We have a contractor in the area that paints every inch of his equipment "PINK" . I don't know why but you sure can tell when his crew is in the area!
