Wagner bucket holds more wood than I realized

I had a large Redbud limb that was cracking due to it's growing almost horizontal and it's size, so I decided to cut while the weather was nice, rather than having to do it in a big snow or layer of ice. I stacked it in the bucket of the loader, and dumped it on a pallet till I got around to doing something with it. Plans are to split it to kindling size and let it dry for a couple years.


The bucket of my WM-1 was modified by a previous owner. It has been extended 12 inches both on the bottom and sides, which makes it really handy.


Here is a picture of what it originally looked like, and as was from the factory it does not look like it would be very useful.

John, it doesn't have to be pretty to be functional. It got the job done. I have a huge limb hanging over my fence that looks like it could go at anytime. I need to get to that before spring. I'm almost afraid to mow under it.

I use the Wagner to move firewood all the time. From the wood cutting area to the storage trailer, and from storage to the house. Last week or so, a cab would have been nice! Ed

I hope that's from the one that I am always worried about backing into when turning around at night at your place. If it is you should also prune the big vertical limb about even with the top of the grass.

Nope, that one is still there, I left it so you would not be careless. This limb I have been threatening ever since it caught the ROPS frame on my ZTR (even though it was folded at the time) and almost turned me over backwards. Really gets your attention when you are using a new rig and watching while you trim close to a tree and suddenly realize the front wheels are about 8 or 10 inches off the ground.
