A "Special" Cub!

Postby Barnyard » Tue Dec 25, 2012 5:04 pm

If memory serves me right we talked about these once before. However, my memory doesn't recall what, in anything, was said about them. I tried several search strings on the forum and came up empty handed.

Was there such a thing as a Special Cub?

In the seller's words, "For the serious collector, N.O.S. Cub Special emblem. These are not even in the parts book. Comes with original box from 1959. I do have more than 1 for sale in their original packaging."
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I think it was on a standard cub, the discussion turned to the possibility and process of having some cast. IThey said there was an oversea's "special" cub

The book 'Farmall Tractors in the 1950s is by Guy Fay ... so I guess that would be right.

If you had a LoBoy with these emblems, along with the accompanying foreign language decals, it'd be pretty cool. Without them it'd seem kinda silly.

Just for clarification, I do not own these. They are, as Chris said, for sale on another forum.

Sorry Bill didn't mean to imply you were selling emblems. Great topic to revive and learn about, though. Thanks for the post!

I didn't think you were implying that. I saw where you mentioned where they were and I just wanted others to know it wasn't me who placed the ad. I had already gotten a PM asking me how much I wanted for one before you had posted.
