You all are great!

Postby Galla Creek Arky » Sat Apr 30, 2005 9:32 am

Thanks so much. I went to some of the sites. Got an idea of what was a good price. Went to the local tire shops with my figures adn got my four tires at a store here at a bargain I think.

I really like this site. I took some pictures of my cub and want to share them.

Is that something that you do here or is the site limited on space and really can't have a lot of pictures?

Thanks again!

Larry, Pictures are very welcome here. We all share from time to time and many projects are documented. We're glad you like the site. Dennis puts a lot of work into it. We appreciate him a lot, sometimes we don't tell him enough.

I will be the first to second that comment. "THANKS" Dennis for providing us with this great site. I for one would sure be at a loss without it.

Postby Galla Creek Arky » Sat Apr 30, 2005 12:30 pm

I got 8.3-24 6 ply rear tires for a hunred each. so that was $200.

I paid $22 each for the front ones.

My total was $244.00....I thought it was good. i will mount them myself.

I suggest you spring for new tubes with your new tires. You don't want to start messing with flat on your new tires because the tubes have gotten too stiff to conform to the new tires.

Tires

Spring for new tubes. Replace the rear tires yourself - and clean up the rims. Not a tough job.

Those 12" fronts are a real pain, suggest having the tire supplier mount the fronts.

Good price on the tires.

The fronts are no problem with liberal application of mounting lube!!! Dry they are darn near impossible yes. Even straight dishwashing soap will work.

Put a NEW set of Titan 3-rib tires on my Cub for $60.00 (including tubes and mounting) at our local CO-OP :D . If I needed to order tires and have them shipped...my choice would also be Tucker Tires!

Depending on what you're looking for (restoration quality or run of the mill), I bought a pair of run of the mill front implements for around $55 from MillerTire. I also replaced the tubes for the rears 9.5 x 24 for around $25. I haven't replaced the rear rubbers yet but I understand the turf tires are around $110.
