I have found a red and white cub that looks original paint, but they claim it is a 1972? I am going to varify the year model with serial number. I was hoping it was a '64.
I restored a red '64 cub that had the original hood decal that read "McCormick Famall Cub". My serial number falls under the 224704 so I assume that I have the unique cub version of one of the first square grill and last of the farmall cub versions?
Thanks to Boss Hogg for the great information. Im the guy that picked up the fasthitch and carryall from you this past winter - Keep the information on our Square grill cubs flowing - Thats my passion - The Square grill / fasthitch cubs!

Proud new owner of 224660. It is surely red and white from the factory. What a sweet Cub, nicest original one that I have seen.

Hi,
Here are pages from the Cub parts book showing the different styles of Cubs and the serial numbers when they were made. They don't show the red with white hood Farmall Cub, but it shows the styles anyway. They don't show every way that they painted them.
The square front Farmall Cub in the pic has a 6 volt starter, it looks like. :)

This page shows the International Cub.

Glen, just so you know.... there are square nose 6V Farmall Cubs that were ALL RED. And the first 300 (plus a few) 12V Cubs were 'Farmall' Cub and had a white hood.

There is absolutely NO factory information that anyone has turned up. But I guarantee you there is factory red and white Farmall Cub with a key switch and push button start (12V) in my garage.

Most of the square hood Farmalls have a red hood and are 6V (no key, no push button start).

The square hood decals are sold by TM on this page:
