Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedAlthough the numbers are leaning to the red/white paint being legit, I'm not completely sold yet!
From looking at Boss' first post of this thread, there is only 8 numbers listed out of 2200+ square nose Farmalls. I don't think that's enough to establish a pattern. I think the search request for numbers needs to be expanded to all tractors in this range (not just red/white ones) to get a bigger sampling of tractors. Trent's Database doesn't list any numbers from this time period from any members of this forum.
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedRaymond,
I think the direction that Boss is heading is that the (303) 12V Farmall Cubs made were shipped with white hoods. Peter
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedI understand Peter, but the original request for numbers was only for red/white tractors, not all tractors in this area.
I think that if the range of numbers was expanded a bit, a comparison of the proposed different "paint schemes" could be established. Instead of comparing 'red/white to red/white' tractors, we would be looking at 'all red vs. red/white vs. yellow white' tractors.
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedI agree Raymond, but I think you will find that all the { factory } Red cubs with white hoods are going to be in this range If you look at my other post I have no replies viewtopic.php?f=1&t=75071&p=602153#p602153
what I am trying to prove is that all the 12 volt Farmall cubs had white hoods with red bottoms IN GOD WE TRUST

Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedGotcha, I missed the other post!
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedFor those with the tractors in question, does your hood emblem look like this?

Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedPeter,
The one I posted was from a fella in New Zealand. His SN is 22475X J, so it's a little into the Yellow/White "International Cub" time frame according to the parts manual. I guess the decal could be explained by it being an export tractor. Not sure what to think about the paint. I haven't found a lower number tractor than this one that had the yellow/white paint though.
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedMy red square nose 63 has the same decal Pete Posted

No way that tractor was shipped to NZ by the factory. it is not right hand drive.
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # added
Yes it is. They all are.
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedI guess I should not say yet but was told that the red/w/ white hoods were to be shipped outside the US but did not happen.

No wonder, those are just plain butt ugly painted that way. ![]() Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Ben Franklin
Re: info needed red cubs with white hoods # addedI have a quart of red..... and the hood is already white on my good 64. But I already bought the International stickers, they are 1/2 the price of the Farmall ones. I much prefer to paint with red and yeller IronGuard is more expensive for some reason. The fast hitch has been started yeller (long story) but as of now it looks like it's going on my red 77.
