I know that the center tube on the front axle for the High and Wide is longer but did they also make a short one, maybe for vineyard use? The axle on this cub appears to be shorten. It was in the cub vine section.

Don't think that this was original. I once had a cub with a short front axle on it, and it was a really well done owner modification. It looked much like yours.
