Chasing threads in hood for dash.

Postby WJ » Wed Apr 20, 2005 7:37 am

Hi Guys,

I am wanting to chase the threads in the hood for the dash and front dogs. Does anyone know the correct size. I ordered new screws from tm tractor awhile back so the is the size I will be using.

Thanks

Willis
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use duct tape.

You can find most of the thread sizes in the parts manual. Having a hard copy is real handy for this, but you can also sort through the one on Rudi's website, its just takes a little longer to find it.

I think these will be listed under the "chasis" section.

The dog legs look like 10-24 1/2''

the dash is showing two sizes 3/8-16 x 5/8" and 1/4-20 x 1/2"

The support is bolted to the torque tube with 3/8-16 x 1/2".

The dog leg is screwed to the radiator tank with 10-24 x 1/2"

Both the support and the dog leg are bolted to the hood/tank with 1/4-20.
