cub # 7442

Postby Todd » Sun Apr 17, 2005 7:42 pm

I was at my local IH dealer today and they had Cub # 7442 for sale. I notice that this cub had different rear wheels than other cubs. Also the Wheel weights were different, they sit off the wheels in the center where mine are butted against the wheels. Where there different wheels and Weights on the early cubs?
i have a few tractor pics on my site i should have started taking them before i took it apart

The wheel weights are probably for an A as I have these weights on my loboy. The bolt holes line up but the weights do not fit flush on wheel especially at the center.

I don't know about earlier ones having differetn wheels and weights, but there were other tractors that the wheels and weights would fit from. Economy/Power King comes to mind as one.
If you are not part of the solution,

They look very similar, the center connects to the ouside of the rim, not the middle

Might be rims from an A. They can be made to fit.
