Cubfest activities

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Sat Apr 16, 2005 1:08 pm

As an activity at Cubfest I am going to bring the cub I recently purchased. It
will be still the same condition it was when I bought it. The plan is to let
everyone look it over as if they were buying it and then have an open discussion
afterward, pointing out its problems and what you can expect to need to fix it.
If anyone wants to demonstrate how to make some of the needed repairs I won't
complain. Will even have many of the parts available. LOL

I bought this cub intending to fix it up as my third working cub. Getting my
tractors and lawnmower ready for spring has reminded me of my limitations, and
convinced me I don't really need a third cub. After the activities concerning
it are over I intend to offer it for sale. Included will be many of the parts
to make the needed repairs. I am just intending to recover my investment, not
make a profit.

The first thing I see wrong is that you're not sitting in the seat with that smile on your face that (so far) I've only seen in other pictures!! Bob

I was just looking at all the Cubs I have with bad fuel lines. I'm thinking about bringing some stuff and making a few, if anyone is interested in my method for measuring and bending them.

George:

Sounds like a wonderful idea  :!: :D

Also, might be a great idea to document with pics as you do this little workshop. Mostly for the benefit of us the unfortunate masses who won't be able to attend Big Dog's Splendiferous Do in Ohiya :!: :D

I for one would be very interested to see your method of measuring and bending. One thing that I have learned in all my years is that one should always learn from a master when possible. Ahhh yup - dat would be you :!:

What brand belly mower is on your Cub? Looks to have (4) wheels.

appears to be shop built, but a pretty good job.
