Cub questions! Help!

Postby Jolly » Mon Apr 11, 2005 7:32 pm

I have a 1971 Cub -#236997 that someone painted all red. I think that tha tractor is supposed to be yellow and white? If so, where can I get original paint? Also, who has the best maintenance manual? I want to change oil now. What type and weight oil is best?

Thanx for any help and advice!

Welcome!

Visit the stickies at the top of this forum. Also check out Rudi's site. Your Cub should be yellow and white. Use whatever oil the previous owner used. If you don't know use 30 wt Non-detergent. http://www.binderbooks.com is a good source for a manual. Your Case-IH dealer might have the paint, otherwise http://www.cngco.com will have it.

Others will chime in a give you extra tips and help.

Again Welcome!!!

Jolly, your tractor would likely have been yellow & white as that would have been the standard colors but it is also possible that the tractor was ordered red.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
