Hello Mike- Yes, it has a Paris Rhone starter. It has a Delco Remy dynamo (I think you call this a generator) I am not sure what a French seat looks like but the seat on mine looks like the ones I have seen on US Cubs. I am also not sure what French lights look like. The ones on mine have a pebbled type surface and Guid Tractor printed on the lenses. The aircleaner has Parmalat Paris on it. Can you venture a guess at the age of the Cub?
I am sure you are pulling your hair out at all my questions- my apologies for them but you have got me curious about the history of the Cub.

I am not an expert, and know next to little about French Cubs, but from what I have gleaned from Mike's posts, sounds like you have a US Cub built in France.
Sooo, you probably have one of the elusive ones and not the Super Cub..

French Seat
As a new boy, French seat has a box 2" wide svcrewad to the floor, from which there is a hinge at the front with a piece of steel going back 18" long and the seat is hinged to that, American seat just has a pole screwed to the floor with a coil spring.
Can someone find a photo of an american?
