French Vineyard cub

Postby 55cub958 » Sun Mar 20, 2005 1:50 pm

I saw some pictures of a French Vineyard cub in the photo albums.
I would like to find some information about these cubs. Been looking
through the websites without any luck. Would appreciate if anyone
could steer me in the right direction. Thanks

Most of the ones belong to Super A (Mike S) or Leon, they should be able to provide more info. They were made in France from Ih parts ealier, then later completely cast and made id France if I remember correctly, which would be unusual.

Some pictures of Leon Walker's vinyard Cub, taken while it was still in England are here:

Mike Schmudlach who posts here as Super Cub was responsible for bringing it to this country. That saga was an interesting story. :D

There were 60 of the Vineyard Cubs built in France. From what Etiennne Gentil and other French IH experts have told me they were built by a dealership with help from the factory at St. Dizier, France. Leon's is actually a French Super Cub Vineyard.
If I have time I will post pictures of bringing the tractor on to the Ferry in Hull (GB) to go to Rotterdam.
This morning we are loading a container to go to Holland. They can buy pretty cheap here with the weak dollar.
We are shipping over 4 green lawnmowers, 4 of the new Farmall Tractors, a little IH diesel (235 I think), and a bizillion tractor parts.
I better get to work.
Mike
30 + tractors including 2 French Super Cubs, French Cubs, 1963 Industrial Cub, 1955 Cub Highcrop etc...German and French built IH tractors and some bigger IH tractors. Of course I have about 20 IH trucks and an IH refridge in the Shop.

We had 2 rough days with a container to Europe.
First the trucking company didn't show yesterday, then they agreed to be here at 7:00 AM today but the driver got nailed for too many hours and had to sit.......well a 3:00 this afternoon we finally loaded the container.
A long 2 days.......especially on crutches.
I will write about the French Cub adventures later.
