Not sure about year on CUB
I am looking at buying that basket case cub. The serial number is 188236 it is yellow. The hood is long and white says Cub on a black stripe down the side. The front grill is square and says IH logo on it. It is in pieces right now. It has the ehaust that does down and along the side to the back. I thought it was a 1955 by serial number. But someone has taken the wheel weights of the back and red is showing through. So I don't know.

I can't figure out how to post pictures. If you email me les@lbhinc.com I can send you the pictures and let you take a look at them. I don't know whether to buy or not.[/img]

You are no doubt dealing with a 64 lo-boy rather than a standard cub.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Same serial number fits a 64 lo-boy which matches your description.

They each have their advantages. I would not say one was more valuable than the other given the same condition.

Les, it is easily worth that and more. I don't know how much work you want to put into the project but it would be an excellent start. There are some mysteries to be solved yet since the serial number does not match. It is a standard cub with late model tinwork. Perhaps the lower radiator casting has been replaced at some time.
