3-point hitch and power take-off.

Postby evergrn98@aol.com » Sun Mar 06, 2005 2:44 pm

I have a 1961 Farmall Cub with a 3-point fast-hitch mounted on it. I want to use the power take-off to power my flail mower and my sickle-bar mower without removing the fast hitch. What pulley diameter should I use? Thanks for any experienced advice.

They are completely different size pulleys. The flail mower uses a larger one. It will be too fast for the cycle bar.

I don't have a fast hitch or 3 pt as the case may be, to refer to, but for best operation you will need to different pulleys. Approx 7 1/2 inches for the flail and 4 inches for the sickle. mower.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
