Farmall Cub

Here's my shed. It is a 30x50. I also have a 24x20 carport behind the shed. I really don't have enough room to work on anything now. I can remember when we bought this place and the shed was empty I could drive my cub around in circles inside the shed. Now I can't even walk all the way to the back.

I have faint memories of the same thing here in 2004. Maybe I'll get around to cleaning it out some this summer. Our barn is 112 x 40 and I doubt it will ever have a heated shop unless something happens to the little building..

Mike, what can you tell me about the Bultaco Alpina motorcycle in these photos? Also, is that a pile of deer antlers I see?

Cubbrian, how high is your door?

I want to have at least a 12' tall door. I think that will accomidate most anything I want to drag in there....

Al, it is 10' tall. The rain cap on the 666 clears by about 2 inches when it is open all the way. My dream is to get a 2 post rops and canopy for it but it wouldn't fit in the shed.

Nice tractors. I sure would like a 666 one day.

Roy it is a very nice tractor to drive. That is why it is parked by the door. It's the kids favorite tractor (because it has a horn.) I bought a 4 bottom plow for it but haven't had the chance to try it out yet.

Now that my pole barn is almost sheathed and insulated, it is time to start work on my cabinet shop, especially ifn I want storage cabinets in the pole barn and wooden tool boxes for all my tools. I have a baby cyclone setup that will be installed however I am running all the ductwork under the floor. Since my knees are so bad and I cannot work on concrete for more than a very short period of time, I am putting in a wooden floor, all new base cabinets with built-in tool stations and and wiring.

Brad, i also love your wood shop. Would love to have it. Some day... But for the mean time i will deal with my 19x24....

I have had several people ask me about the shelving units i having hanging on my peg board. They came from a video store chain the i used to own, years ago. Just saved them when i closed the store, figured they would come in handy some day. And they have. I have two sizes, 2ft x 3.5" and 4ft x 3.5". The hangers bend right up into the peg board perfectly. here is a link to the product. They have lowered their prices over the years. Thats amazing.

Nice wood shop you have there. I hope to have a nice ine with lots of space one day. I am lucky as I teach wodshop at the high school here in town and so I have access to all the tools I need plus some.
I am hoping to get a nice shop some day, as for now I am using my future Father in Law's shop. It is heated and suits me for now, but I can only work in a small corner due to the fact he has to be able to get the semi's in when he has to. So things do get cramped a bit. I did clean up an old Fertilizer Shed this fall so all my tractors can be under a roof for the winter.

Nice pics everyone, you all are just giving me ideas of where to start and the hint so far is start BIG, it fills up fast.

My shop is a 20x24, pipe framed lean-to, attached to another shed. 15 year warranty, white plastic material, covering it. Originally, it had greenhouse grade poly, but it got too hot, in summer. Heated with a wood stove, but sure is hard to heat, on windy days. Concrete floor, was always cold, in winter. feet would get cold, in a couple of hours.
New shop in half of an insulated 40 foot, refrigerated trailer, that was formerly used for hay storage. 5 inches of insulating foam, all around. 8x22 shop, wood stove heated, in the front section, firewood storage, in the back. Plenty of electrical power, compressed air inlet, through the wall. Will have AC, in the summer. Working on an overhead track, to roll in engines, trannys, or other heavy parts. Only has a 3 foot house type door, so I won't be bringing tractors in, but can work on components, comfortably, and use the other shop, to put the tractors back together. Its 4 feet off the ground, but I'll be adding a small deck, and stairs, at the entrance. Ed

Ricky, It's a 1972 Bultaco that I bought new while I was in Alaska. I am in the process of fixing it up. It does run but the back tire is shot and I need to change some spokes before I put the new tire on.

Yes that is a pile of deer horns from years ago when I would shoot any thing with horns. I now only shoot large 8 pt or better.

My shop is 30 x 32 and was big enough when I bought it. Amazing how fast you can fill it up. I hope to put a addition on this spring but I've been saying that for awhile now.
