Has anyone ever checked the time it takes to get oil pressure when you start a cold cub up. It seem to take quite a while before the gauge starts to read any pressure. My cub takes 20 seconds of running before the gauge reads any pressure, this was done at 30 degrees F. The throttle was set just off idle.
Thanks Mike

Thats why I crank for 4 or 5 seconds before I turn the key on my 68 Low boy. My diesel says to crank till you get pressure before feeding fuel. I can't do that on the cub but by leaving the key off and cranking I don't have to choke heavy to start. I don't crank long enough to worry about coating the walls with fuel and diluting the oil.
