Cub # 5

Postby Garvin Gatewood » Thu Feb 17, 2005 7:02 pm

I finally "bit the bullet" and drove 1010 miles to pick up my latest Cub. It is a '79 Red Cub. I had been talking to the owner since December. I decided that I had better pick it up before Big Dog latched on to it. My navigator got us lost a few times and we drove a few extra miles. We left at 4 am and got home the next morning at 1:30 am. We'll do anything for a Cub, won't we.

I wanted a '79 because it was the last year that they were made. I wanted a red one just because I like the red ones better. They are also pretty rare. I do have one yellow Cub but it is a '75 model.

Gavin

What's the serial number on it? I am just curious because I believe the whereabouts of the last official cub is unknown.

The serial # is 253205. According to my list, it is the 69th one made in 1979.
