Engine Block Replacement
Hi All, It's been a long time since I've been here, busy building a house in Maine. Anyway, my 49 cub has a cracked block at the govenor mount (was welded when I got it) now I noticed one developing on the other side by the hyd. pump. Outside of replacing the block, any tricks or fixes out there

Hope this will help.
Lombard's Crack Repair
Let us know how you make out. Replacing the block however will probably be the best bet and most economical in the long run I would suspect.

Decided that I will not be doing the C 60- blocks as I planned at first. Have a good block we used at the Cub Workshop that all the Cubbers ran but it has the same crack as you mentioned ...then there is another engine that I was going to re do but not anymore and there are several other blocks here. If any interest let me know as they will be on ebay soon. AlBie
