Found a single point Buz Saw very rusty but appears all there. What would be a reasonable price to offer.

John, do you have any pictures? I don't think I've ever seen a single point buzz saw.

Jim, I'm continually astounded how you keep up with things like that. I can't remember what was in the last issue.

Thanks Jim, now I have to figure out what my grandson did with that issue.

BD, this is a little easier to locate. I found it still sitting out on my web page. This is the picture before a little clean-up. Find the magazine and see if you can tell what is different.

John,

I don't know what a single point would be worth but I paid $125.00 for this one at a local auction. I might have paid too much but I wanted it.

Brent, I don't think you paid too much. I passed on a cub buzz saw a couple of years ago for $200. This was one of those that bolt right over the pto. I have kicked myself many times because I did not buy it. That pile of branches that I am trying to get sawed up is not getting any smaller.

Bigbog,

I like it better than a chain saw. Easier on the old back and it sure does the job fast. So maybe I didn't pay too much.

Brent, BD:

I use my wood saw -- it is a buzz saw with a 8 foot tilting steel table to cut all of my 4 foot logs to firewood. It is also useful for cutting up alders and branches as well. I gave up on using the chain saw for this type of work about 18 years ago. A chain saw is for cutting down trees, not bucking firewood  :!: :D

The one thing I REALLY would like to find to help me with my clean up chores though is a Chipper. Be nice to be able to make mulch out of a lot of the small brush, twigs and bark for mulching my flower beds, grape vines and fruit trees.

Did any of the OEM's such as Danco or Woods make a chipper attachment for the Cub? If so, anyone got any info on it?

Probably as scarce as hen's teeth ifn they did, so I would probably be happy with an MTD type chipper - even without the motor. Got a couple spare 6 and 8 horse B&S's hanging around.

Rudi I bet the hammermill grain/cornmeal grinder could be adapted easy to make a chipper. Same principal?.
Then came Bronson

JB:

Now there may be an idea :!:  :!:

One problem - hen's teeth for that puppy too :!:

I have yet to see a corn shredder or a hammer mill in these parts. If I ever see one, that is a use that could be investigated though.
