Everybody knows what the hood-holes are for but does anybody have an answer to WHY is there holes in the oil filter drain tube cap ears/wings I only know of 1-answer and that is SO they will break off faster/easier.Then came Bronson
When I bought mine it had a piece of string through one hole. I assumed they didn't want to lose the cap. Wonder how many times that string caught on something and broke? Know what happens when one assumes anything! It makes an A_S out of U and ME.
Ah`ha Brent, Maybe it is for a string attached to a oil change date tag reminder.
