Donny, I was working for E.I. DuPont in the late 60's when Kapton and Teflon films were in their infancy. I remember going back to that facility to work on an electronic drive system and there was a distinct aroma as they processed the teflon pellets into film. It's been so long I don't remember just what it was but I'm thinking it was either acetone or vinegar that it smelled like.
