Is there any difference in a generator for a cut out or a regulator systym
if so somebody give me some some Education .
the question was adsked to me and I just ain't shure :?

Ralph - both a 2 or 3 brush generator will work with a cutout or a regulator. The 3 brush generator is typically the older style and the charge rate was controlled by adjusting the 3rd brush. The 2 brush generator came later and it's output is full all the time but typically controlled by the voltage regulator.

That is what I thought but I had to be Re confirmed by some one that was familiar with a cut out all of my cubs have had the regulator systym.
I had it tested by a gen shop and they said it was putting out 7.2 amps so it should work on either type systym :wink:

If you have to replace a Relay with a Regulator the wiring on the generator has to be changed some not a big problem. Have to add a wire and unhook the wire that goes from the generator to the light switch. And tape back
