Carb question...

Postby KenHigginbotham » Wed Jan 26, 2005 7:05 am

I have this carb torn down and noticed the choke shaft was bent. (See Pic)I ask the local IH dealer to see if he can get one and have not heard back so I'm assuming he cannot. Does anyone know if some other IH dealer may be able to get one or would I be better off to try and straighten the one I have?

FYI: I have already purchased the IH rebuild kit.

Thanks, ken

I cant see where the choke shaft is bent but it looks like the throttle linkage arm is twisted where the linkage goes in the hole. if that is what you mean then I would try to straighten it with vise pressure from large pliars. I thought those parts came with the I-H branded original carb kits. :?:
Then came Bronson

A new throttle shaft is included with the IH carb kit but, a new choke shaft is not. Last time I checked, the choke shaft is no longer furnished by Case/IH.
