I have two Cubs w/fasthitch. Both have the helper spring that runs along the rockshaft link. I have seen pictures of fasthitch set ups with an opposing front mounted spring in addition to the regular spring. Was wondering how much this second spring would do to assist the hydraulics. Are these fairly common? Have never seen one except in pictures. How do these attach at the front of the machine? Would this be helpful lifting a Woods 42? Is there additional linkage that's needed to install this spring?
Thanks
Mike

Mike
that has nothing to do with the fast hitch. If the helper spring was not hooked up that front spring would just be hooked right on the hyd lift.
That front spring is used to lift the front tool bar and there will be one on each side of the tractor. I use the front springs to lift the culivators and my one row planter.
if you woods mower is under the belly of the tractor you hyd's should have no trouble what so ever to lift it. If it has trouble lifting it perhaps you need to add hyd fluid or servie you cylinder.

OK Thanks Donny and Chad. I don't need one but saw this one on eBay if anyone is interested.
