Further Questions on White Grill Cub

Postby jmont54 » Wed Dec 29, 2004 4:05 pm

Hello:
I posted under White Grill cub a find of a Cub Serial number 1267 with white grill. If International started with serial number 501 does this mean that this unit was the 766 one that was produced? How common are the 47's.

I love working and driving Cubs and would be interested if this tractor, fully restored would be a collector's item and intern bring a pretty good price, if, I every decided to sell.

Yours would have been the 767th on produced. (501 was the first) There were a lot (just under 11,000) of cubs produced in 47. So it is not particularly rare but properly restored it might be attractive to a collector, but no more so than any other 47.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

That means your Cub is a legitimate "circle Cub," I believe. Early cubs had decals on the hood doglegs that said "Cub" inside a circle, and the big decals on the side of the hood simply said "McCormick Farmall." Make sure you get the correct decals for it.
