My Cub has 9.5-24 rear tires. Does anyone have a source for Tire Chains? My second question is, are these the correct tires for this Cub? My Cub is a younger Y&W unit which were on the tractor when I purchased it 2 years ago.

I'll second Bills reccomendation. I bought some frome them about 6 years ago. The service is good and the chains were Good quality American made.

Most of the later Cubs probably came with 9.5 tires.

And, which would you all recommend? Ladder vs. ring for instance. Is there a particular model that is better on asphalt to reduce the potential for chewing it up?

Scotty, ladder chains tend to fall down between the bars on ag tires and do not do much. The ring sets work better with the ag tires. Any chain that is aiding traction is going to chew up some pavement.
