Switching seats?

Postby Bob McCarty » Wed Dec 08, 2004 8:14 pm

Not having seen a newer Cub with the padded seat and backrest, can you tell me what would be involved to switch from a pan seat to the newer padded one. Or is there too much to change to make it practical?
Thanks, Bob

Check with your dealer or http://www.cngco.com. The last price I heard was about $120 for the seat (Cub Cadet seat) and aobut $100 for the adapter bracket.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

TM trtactor parts on JP salvege should have them too. I understand that there is a crook needed in the gear shift too.. My 63 cub came with the cushion seat and the bent gear shift. My wife recovered it. The back rest had the plywood rotted so i made a replacement. If you have to make the grain of the ply run up and down, not side to side. Don't ask how I know.
