Need photos of Cultivator Setup on Cub
I have received a cultivator set for front and rear of a Cub.
I do have the manual, but cannot really tell how to setup properly.
Anyone have a good set of photos of the cultivator installed?

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Need photos of Cultivator Setup on Cub
I hope these pictures will help you out, and I was also thinking Rudi would like to have them to put into the archives or up on the website. These ole tractors sure did make a nice picture!! If anyone needs any other pictures, I will be happy to send them. I have several of just the cultivators, as well as of more tractors, etc. Hope you all enjoy!!

Re: Need photos of Cultivator Setup on Cub
how far apart are your plant shields (inside to inside)? I have trouble cultivating if mine are any closer than 8-9 inches.

Re: Need photos of Cultivator Setup on Cub
Wow those are beautiful photos. What is the original color of the attachments? If the blue is there a link somewhere on buying that color? I've got a set of cultivators for my tractor that I need to clean up and paint. Thanks for any input!

Ours has red universal mounting frame, rest was medium blue. Bought new in 1957.

Re: Need photos of Cultivator Setup on Cub
Yes, he is correct about the red mounting frame arms and spring arms. The rest of the cultivators were painted the IH Blue. I have heard that is was a little different shade than mine, however I have it mixed at a professional auto paint store; and I use the original IH Blue paint code number. Thats just the shade it comes out as, and I really like it. I actually paint my cultivators blue even the mounting arms, because I personally like that. Its all up to you whether you want to paint it in the original scheme, or another way like me. I do however, use factory colors with automotive acrylic enamel paint. I can't remember off hand, but I am pretty sure someone on here can get you the orignal paint code for the IH Blue.
As far as the plant sheilds, I am not sure how these are spaced. I had just put these on, and havent spaced them to cultivate yet.
THANKS FOR THE KIND COMMENTS ON THE PICTURES TOO! I HAVE MANY MORE PICTURES OF THE SAME TRACTORS, AND OF SOME OTHER TRACTORS I HAVE. SO JUST LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE YALL WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN PARTICULAR.

Re: Need photos of Cultivator Setup on Cub
While we are on the subject of original IH colors.....would you guys happen to know what the paint code and name is for the "White" used on the late model Cubs?? I have a gallon of the IH Cream/Off White, but didn't know if that is the same as the white thats on the late model Cub tractors. I've got 3 Yellow & White Cub tractors that I will be painting soon. Thanks Below is a picture of the "Off White/Cream" IH paint I currently have. You can see what color I am referencing to.
