Touch Control

Postby jmont54 » Tue Dec 07, 2004 8:44 pm

Hello! It's me again.
Recently rebuilt my Y&W Cub's Touch control block and hydrolic pump. Had block boiled out and kept the area as clean as a watchmaker's, got rebuild kit from Case matching block number. After putting it back together, filling it with HYTran fluid up to the filler plug then working out all the air. my problem is this. When raising and lowering the Fast Hitch just a small distance it Jumps, but if raise all way up or lower all way down does it very smoothly. It makes no difference if there is a load on the unit.

Is this common for these units or did I do something wrong?

I think you did a fine job fixing it. It's peppy now.

John, I agree with Jim. It sounds pretty much normal to me. Those short throws don't take long so it looks kind of jerky.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Had the same thing happen with the C. I got used to it. I agree that is is a normal condition. I'll take it over a weak sluggish system any day! :D Gonna rebuild the Cub's here sooon.
