Hello all, I noticed over the summer shifting had become less smooth.
I started playing with the clutch peddle adjustment. If I go too far counter clockwise I get a terrible grinding when I press the peddle and too far clockwise cluch does'nt work. so I fiddled with her millimeter by millimeter and I am back where I started Still rough shifting...
Any thoughts?
Thank you Dave Irish

Clutch
Dave.
I posted the response on the YTmag web site. The biggest problem I had was that the first pressure plate was not set up correctly when received.
You can search his site for more information on the clutch. Again it's not a big deal to split the tractor.
I purchased a rebuilt pressure plate from Valu-Bilt after the first pressure plate purchased from IH disintegrated. That was the one made in India. The first pressure plate was not set up correctly and some sort of locking compound was used on the adjusting screws. The locking compound was so good that I broke two of the three adjusting screws trying to set up the pressure plate.
