For all of you fabricators out there

Postby ScottyG » Mon Nov 08, 2004 8:13 pm

Folks,

I'm assuming that the best way to bend 3/8" stock without a break is a heavy vice, lots of heat and some good ol' fashioned elbow grease. Am I correct?

Get it hot enough and you don't need elbow grease. Shouldn't give a problem with flat stock.

Scotty. Get it cherry red and then bend. Use a heavy hammer if you want a tight bend.

Just read Donny's post in your other topic. He also says to get it "cherry red". I made my "crank handles" that way.........
