I came back to this post because it took me a while sitting and thinking. Hey he had a roll bar on that. I looked at the picture again. Sure enough. As I scrolled to ask I saw that you mentioned it. Great job. That 3 to 1 gear reduction did the slow down, increased torqe and reversed the direction all at once. The Kubota has a 540 RPM PTO so you did the trick very neatly.
Looks impressive too.

No problem! That's quite a rig! Sure would like to see it at Cubfest '05!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

WOW, is there any marking as to who made the backhoe for it. What an attention getter she would be at cub-arama doing demos :D

Hi Jamie. It's a Woods 7500. It will dig a 7 foot 6 inch hole and swings left to right 180 degrees. It really is a back saver and the cub is small enough that it doesn't tear the yard up.

You know, that's such a great looking rig that I initially thought it was a professionally-doctored computer photo (the stack made me think that, for some reason) designed to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. After the detailed description, however, I can see that's not the case at all. That is a beautiful setup, nice work. ...Jeff

That's exactly what I have only with the Kabota sub frame and not the three point set-up. Just the backhoe weighs 950 lbs. My whole tractor weighs 3870 according to the scales at the Johnny Appleseed Festival.

I paid $3300 for the backhoe, two buckets, extra hoses and delivered into my garage. The dealer wanted $6000 and said there was no setup for cub.

Did you add the reinforcement to the front axle before or after?

The ROPS was off a small 4wd GREEN tractor   and the truss was added before, not after.
