wiring diagram for 12v neg ground

Postby Paul_NJ » Sun Oct 31, 2004 10:21 pm

Is there a wiring diagram available for a 12 volt, negative ground, alternator system.

Also, I understand that most of the hookup wiring (lights, ignition) should be 16 or 14 ga wire, but should the wire between the starter and the ammeter be heavier?

Almost there . . .

Thanks

Paul, click on this link and then select the first page which is the index page. Scan down this page until you see the combination that suits your situation. You can then go to that diagram for details. Some of the diagrams are labeled for an H or M etc. but they are electrically the same schematic.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Thanks Bigdog!!

That's a great resource of wiring diagrams and it had just what I needed! I'll keep the URL for future projects as well.

Been printing out all the print URL for my stuff and now have a loose leaf book of them. I suffer from CRS (a medical term) and would never remember where I put the URL

I suffer from the same problem, and as a result I tend to file everything under either M or L. Miscelaneous or Lost.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
