What Happened To The Power?

Postby Donny M » Sun Oct 31, 2004 7:30 pm

Was going out to mow Steven's Moto Cross track and I had to open the gate. I idled down the 55 (Tinker) and got off and opened the gate. Got back on the tractor and opened the throttle only to hear a "click". I had no throttle response  I got back off the tractor and checked things out only to find that the governor spring was in two pieces, one of which was not to be found.
I idled the tractor back to the shop where I had another spring. I was really dreading pulling the hood and governor :!: :!: So I tried to replace the spring without taking anything a part.
Well with the help of a very long pair of needle nose pliers and plenty of perseverance I got the job done. Only took about an hour. 8)

Donny:

Gord and I had the same experience when we replaced his bumper spring. Kind of difficult isn't it? Takes a little patience.
