HowerPower's Been At It Again!

Postby Corky's Cub » Sun Mar 14, 2010 11:31 pm

Jason and I had another good weekend in the shop...getting ready for a little minifest next weekend!

Although I didn't take any pictures of how messy my shop was before we started cleaning up Saturday, here's what it looked like after about 12 hours Sunday and 6 hours on Saturday. Jason, you're super at organizing, I appreciate your help, and I enjoy your company too! Thanks!!

:applause: :big afro: :thanx:

We cleaned, we organized tools, we even started cleaning out Pappy's gas tank, but I can't figure out how to post the video we took of Rick Prentiss' rear-wheel cleaning method in action! Maybe BigDog will help and post it here!

We're all ready for some Jawja buddies to come over next weekend...gonna do a little front end work that was started on jason's and John's tractors, and if we're lucky, SingerAdrian will also handle the vittles this time around so ole Corky doesn't burn the yardbird!

Corky, there is an outside chance that I might be in the area. Got to go see my good friend Bugler soon and come home with my new cubhauler.

If I can work it out, I will need directions. I need to meet up with Dirtyred and hand off a good motor to him too.

So that is what a clean shop is suppose to look like. Looks good. I think there is a law against a shop being that clean and organized around here, if it's not in a pile, I can't find anything..........

Charles:

What a great looking shop :!: Nicely organized, well lit, looks heated :D

If the video is on youtube, simply copy the url but use only the part of the statement between the = and the & sign. That should work nicely.

Congrats on a great place to have a CubFest and to play with Cubs. :applause:

How did the tank come out? Is it ready to go back on the tractor?

I really like the name...pappy!

Hey Mike, we've got a good bit more work to do before we can remount the tank on Pappy, first we'll find some POR-15 to line the innards, and then we've got to do some fine hammering and weld a little crack in the sheet metal, and then sand, and putty, and then paint!

BigDog, thanks for posting the video! Since I haven't figured out how to post 'em yet on YouTube, I can't get 'em on here either!

:big give up: :big say what: :big ok:

Rudi, the shop is heated, but ole Corky was too stubborn (or lazy?) to fire it up Saturday...and my aching bones reminded me to use the stove Sunday!!

Paul, you're right. Generally, a clean shop is the sure sign of a sick mind! But in my case, it had gotten so messy we couldn't find anything! And you can ask Kodiak and Donny, when my shop is messy, it is MESSY!!

Dale, come on down! Just be sure and let me know when you're gonna get here and we'll hide all the tractors! Just kidding bud, send me a PM and I'll send you some directions!

That's the best I've ever seen thatr shop  Amazing :!: Jason, come on up to my place and I'll let you work your magic on my shop. It really need it about now. I'm planning on being there Saturday and hope to get enough sleep to keep myself awake this time

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Hey, you got enough room for at least two more tractors!! Nice work fellas!! :D

The front end work shouldn't be that bad now that you guys know what to expect. Wish I could make it up to give a hand.
Good luck and have fun!

The shop looks great. I noticed you are missing a Grand Wagoneer wheel up on that shelf.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Ron, you'll be more rested this time around! Just bring Alexandria to play with Tyler and Leora, and we'll all be more energized!

Bill, gotta love those 5-slots! I've actually got six of them, and will polish up the best 4 some day for the Wag! Did you notice those two razor grills sitting on top of the wheels? Hey, at least now I can fit the Jeep in the shop to work on the wiring! If I can figure out the darned parasitic draw, I may even drive it to CubTug!

Phil, bring those pictures on a disk and we'll do a projector show.

Raymond, I may just have to start looking for a few more cubs to fill the space!

Vince, thanks for the compliment! I'm a lucky guy to have a shop, and also lucky to have Adrian's bud Jason to help me find the workbench tops!

I'm looking forward to having my CubBuds over this weekend!
