I need a new battery. TSC has an 8 volt that fits in the box. Will my 6 volt generator keep it charged or do I need to jack up the output. Thanks.
Frank

Most likely you will have to make some adjustments in the generator output and voltage regulator. A 6 to 7 volt output will not charge an 8 volt battery. TSC should have a good group 1 6 volt battery at a reasonable price. Much simpler to do.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Hi Frank
As the kids say now..."DON'T GO THERE."
I had an 8 v. battery in my 57 Cub. Your generator and regulator won't give the battery a full charge cause its a 6v. system. My starter turned very slow with the 8v. battery, and has much more pep and longer life with the 6v.
AND OH YES...be sure that all your grounds are clean and tight
