Sickle mowers: Fast Hitch versus belly mount

I have the chance to buy a Fash Hitch Sickle Bar Mower and I was wondering if anyone had some opinions about which was better, Fast Hitch Sickle bar mowers or belly mounted ones?

Any fast hitch implement is inherently easier to use because of the ease of attaching single point hitch implements. If I had a fast hitch cub, I would definitely want a fast hitch mower. Best case scenario - attaching and setting up a cub 22 mower would be (maybe) 30 minutes working safely. When you're done with it, unhitch and move on.
I would think that the performance of both types would be comparable.

I didn't know that they made a fast hitch sickle mower. I sure would like to see a picture of one.

John, I don't know for sure that they did. But any fast hitch implement would have to be more convenient than conventional mounting. I have seen a fast hitch 42" rotary mower though.

Saw what was apparently the same post on YTMAG. apparently this is for a 100, not a cub.

That means your fast hitch cub can lift it, but it can't run it. The PTO on a Cub runs backwards, and over 3 times as fast as your standard 540RPM PTO.
