I think I have figured out the new wiring harness (took a little while to figure out the old one). The two wires from the generator (alternator?) are the ones that threw me the most. They are in the loom on the new harness.
At any rate, this 71 Cub had not had lights in some time apparently. Had I not been gawking at Cubs earlier this week I would not have known that the hole on the dash is for a fuse! (This one has a key) The harness has a jumper that I belive goes to the fuse (from one side of the key switch). The question is how do you wire the fuse and the light switch? I suppose the fuse is available from radio shack or something.
I am also looking for the the connectors that go in the lighting plugs. No luck anywhere around here.
Thanks, you folks are awesome!

radio shack has them. there are two sizes, 5/8 and 9/16 i believe. you want the smaller one to fit the bottom hole in the dash.
