What a great forum this is. I recently posted in the wanted forum that I was in need of a grass rod that attaches to the grass board. I was told by Ken over at Carter and Grunewald that this part was not available. A very alert member of this forum named Catfish spotted one for sale on Ebay and posted a link to it for me. I won the auction and got the part I needed for $15.00. Big thanks to Catfish, for his willingness to help. Bob Roraback

Bob, I think you will find that is the norm for this board. We strive to keep it clean and helpful with no bickering. Perhaps some of our get-togethers will be close enough for you to attend so you can meet some of the fellows.

This has to be the best forum I've ever seen for having people with real been-there-and-done-that experience pretty much *always* on line, and always willing to answer a really stupid question - or put up with a mis-post - or...

I appreciate this forum tremendously!

I agree....this is a great place. Everyone is always willing to assist in any way they can. I haven't posted in a long time because I still don't have Dad's 1949 Cub home yet, but I read the forum daily. Trying to gain as much knowledge as possible before I start my troubleshooting/restoration. I'm really looking forward to getting into it.
You guys keep up the good work, and keep Cubbin'!

I'd have to go along with that consensus...

These folks are ready and willing to give a good helping hand. They're the kind you'd enjoy coming over and sitting a spell on the old front porch swing and just "chewing the fat". Too bad most are so far away from where I live, as I'd really enjoy the opportunity to meet and greet these great folks. However, great minds do congregate. :) They're even conscientious about watching for the silver ducks.

SundaySailor (Rick) BTW, it's Friday Eve! :D

a fair number! Makes me wonder just how many cubs there are around in NC. I might get the bug like a few others around here and start a collection of my own. :)

Sanday Sailor, I know it would be a pretty good drive, but if you want to get Cub fever properly, come to Cubarama in Fredricktown, Mo. September 24 and 25.

Bob, Glad I could help! I just happened to see that on Ebay and then saw your post. I've been helped by the fine folks on this board so many times in the past and it feels good to be able to give something back, no matter how small. :D
